Pediatric Care for Autonomic Research, Education, and Solutions (PCARES)

Dysautonomia, including Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), affects millions of Americans — yet remains one of the most underrecognized and underserved conditions in medicine. It's An Invisible Illness in our US Health Care System.   Since the COVID-19 pandemic, patient numbers are believed to have doubled, while there are only 61 Medical Providers in the U.S. certified in Autonomic Disorders (UCNS Neurology Subspecialty). Pediatric care often falls to specialists with limited treatment scope, leaving primary care providers underprepared to manage these complex cases. Without proper care, over 25% of patients may become completely disabled, and many will see dozens of physicians without answers, driving up healthcare costs and prolonging suffering. Current treatment recommendations help only a minority, and pediatric-specific research is critically underfunded. We have an urgent opportunity to change this trajectory through targeted research, education, and healthcare delivery innovation.Procare Medical Non-profit is a 501(c)3 fiscal sponsor of the benefit, 100% of all donations are tax deductible and will be granted to PCARES.  Other generous sponsors who have made this organization and benefit possible include the Miller Family Foundation, Granger Medical Clinic, and the Jensen Family.
